Special Message From the Beech Grove Bishopric Re: 5th Sunday, January 31, 2016

Brothers and Sisters:

We are approaching another 5th Sunday lesson. As we come closer to Sunday as a Bishopric we are looking forward to the opportunity to adress as many Ward Members as possible in combined lessons. As a Bishopric we are splitting up in order to deliver a message throughout the Ward on Prayer and Scripture Study. This Sunday the Bishopric will break apart as follows:

Bishop Taylor: teaching combined adult 3rd hour class in the chapel
Brother Crumbo: teaching a combined Young Mens and Young Womens class in the multipurpose room.
Brother Homer: teaching in Primary.

In particular we would like to encourage the adults in the chapel and the Youth to prayerfully study the following talks:

Priesthood and Personal Prayer by President Eyring April 2015 General Conference
We Never Walk Alone by President Monson October 2013 General Conference

The Power of Scripture by Elder Scott October 2011 General Conference
My soul delighteth in the scriptures by Sister Lant Ocotber 2005 General Conference.

As you study these talks please be prepared to answer the following question and share with the group. What works best for me in praying and scripture study?

Our sincerest hope is to bring up new ideas which can help us each develop daily habits of scripture study and prayer. By small and simple things we continue to draw closer to our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ.

Sincerly,

Beech Grove Bishopric
